CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY
If an applicant is marriage to a Namibian citizenship the Constitution of Namibia grants the applicant Domicile. The reason why one applies for the Certificate of Identity is to prove to the Namibian Government that the marriage was done in good faith and if the applicant wants to apply for permanent residence or citizenship at a later stage the applicant must have their Certificate of Identity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Application form
- Copy of passport with first entry in country showing status at time of marriage if married in Namibia
- Copy of spouse birth certificate/citizenship certificate/PRP certificate
- Copy of spouse identity document (ID front and back)
- Coy of marriage certificate as well as divorce decree if applicable
- Namibian police clearance of application (certified copy is not accepted)
- Police clearance from country of origin (certified copy is not accepted)
- Sworn affidavit of applicant
- Two passport photographs
- Power of attorney granting Fishmar t/a Intergate Namibia Immigration to act on your behalf
TIME FRAME: 180 days from date of application

CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY - RENEWAL
If an applicant is marriage to a Namibian citizenship the Constitution of Namibia grants the applicant Domicile. The reason why one applies for the Certificate of Identity is to prove to the Namibian Government that the marriage was done in good faith and if the applicant wants to apply for permanent residence or citizenship at a later stage the applicant must have their Certificate of Identity. It is advisable to renew your certificate at least three months before expiry date
REQUIREMENTS:
- Application form
- Motivation letters from both couples for verification of the marriage
- Letter from the Receiver of Revenue (if employed)
- Copy of applicant’s passport first page, visa page and last page
- Two passport photographs
- Power of attorney granting Fishmar t/a Intergate Namibia Immigration to act on your behalf
